The Dumfries House Pierburg Building and Kauffman Education Gardens offer children from primary and early secondary the opportunity to explore food growing, farming and horticulture. The programmes are intended to provide an insight into planting, tending, harvesting and the preparing of vegetables from the garden as a food source. Related activities build upon soil analysis, biodiversity, weather and gardening during the great wars.
CPD programmes support horticulture in the classroom and the development of a sustainable school garden.
